“This was our first time using Elan Valley Lodge. From the outset I had a good feeling about it. Apart from being situated in the most fabulous location imaginable it was clear that owner Roy Davies has transformed this ex-school into the perfect centre for outdoor pursuits, workshops, mini-conferences and more besides. Warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, whilst Elan Valley Lodge doesn’t try to be a full-blown hotel, everything we needed was there, including very comfortable rooms and excellent conference facilities. The food, was outstandingly good – imaginative, wholesome and all home-cooked. Refreshingly devoid of television screens and other distractions our week enabled a much-needed escape from the real world. In the meantime Roy and his staff maintained a reassuring presence throughout without ever intruding.”
